As you have probably heard before, sometimes we all need a little beauty sleep. Whether you're preparing for a big day, or you feel like your body is just telling you to sleep, it's always a smart idea to get plenty of rest.
I was always under the impression that the term "beauty sleep" was something people said with no real reason behind it, but after some research, I have learned that beauty sleep is a real thing.
Many of us spend a large sum of money on our skincare routine. I, for one, spend more money on skincare than most other things. One of the most important things to include in your skincare routine is sleep. After spending so much on lotions and potions it's nice that such an important step is free!
Sleep is one of the best things you can do for your skin. Having a healthy sleep routine can provide so many health benefits that you probably didn't know. When you are asleep, the muscles in your face have a chance to relax, blood flow increases, and collagen is rebuilt.
Research shows that getting the right amount of sleep helps with skin aging, brightness, wrinkles, and under-eye swelling.
Lack of sleep can negatively affect your skin and overall body health. As important as it is to invest in skincare products, it is just as important to keep up with a healthy sleep routine. Better skin starts with better sleep hygiene.
